The Era of the Wireless Credit Card Has Arrived
I’m the guy you call when your refrigerator stops cooling or one of the eyes on the stove not longer heats or the dishwasher is leaking all over the kitchen floor. My van is my office and I can stay as busy as I want to be – which is pretty much all day long. I can fix anything, which is what I love doing. The part of my job that I used to not like was having to process payments. I could call someone’s credit card in over the phone but that took time and it wasn’t as secure as the customer would have liked – and I don’t blame them. Or I could take a check, but that meant keeping up with several checks daily, then making a run to the bank several days a week, which also meant waiting for those checks to clear. My cash flow sometimes could be as fast as cold molasses. But now everything has changed. The same technology that allows us to make phone calls from almost anywhere has now put credit card processing out into the field. Professionals like me can now process credit cards wirelessly with the same security, safety, speed and convenience of the terminal you’d find at the grocery store. And by being able to swipe credit cards through a wireless credit card terminal, business people like me are able to take advantage of lower merchant services rates, putting more money into our pockets on a monthly basis.
